What kind of productivity do you need?

Productivity isn’t one vibe.

Sometimes you need focus. Or perspective. Or to simply work near other people.

That’s what The Reach is built for.

Twice-weekly coworking. Light structure. Real accountability.

If you don’t want to build your business in isolation, you’ll feel at home here.

Hi Reader,

It was rainy and cold. That specific shade of grey that makes you question every plan you’ve made.

Not ideal weather for an in-person coworking meet-up. And yet, people showed up.

(Huge huge shout-out to my co-host, Amanda, and my incredible assistant Rachel for helping make this happen!)

I’d been sitting on this vision for a while: bringing business owners together to work side by side. Not in a pitch-yourself, “let’s trade business cards,” kind of way.

More just people working, talking and connecting as it makes sense.

Years ago, working front desk at a coworking space, I learned something simple:

Asking people, “So… what do you do?” can feel like a lot.

Especially if you’re in between projects, pivoting, or still figuring out how to describe what you do.

But most people can answer: “What are you working on?”

So that’s how we opened the morning.

“What are you working on, and why does it matter?”

And then we got to work.

It wasn’t silent or intensely focused the entire time. There were breaks. Conversations. Moments of deep work. Moments of shop talk.

And it was productive. Just not in the narrow way we tend to define productivity.

There are different types of rest. And I think there are different types of productivity, too.

Maybe you didn’t finish the exact task you planned to.

But you clarified a marketing idea.
Or got some insight on a client situation.
Or strengthened a relationship that might turn into something later.

Those things all matter.

But when we’re working alone, it’s easy to measure the day by one metric: Did I check the box?

So here’s the question I’ve been thinking about since: What kind of productivity do you actually need right now?

Focus?
Momentum?
Perspective?
Accountability?
Human interaction?

Sometimes we get stuck trying to push through in one mode, when what we actually need is a different kind of progress.

’Til next time!

Big (virtual) hugs,

✨ What’s happening inside The Reach

In March, we’re running a Client Comeback Challenge.
We’ll be reaching out to past clients, warm leads, and stalled conversations.
Small, weekly outreach goals. Dedicated coworking time. Real accountability to actually follow up.
If there are a few names sitting in your inbox that you’ve been meaning to reconnect with, this one’s for you. But you gotta be a Reach member to take part!

💡What I'm loving right now

A friend put me onto this workout tracking app, and I’m obsessed with it.
Instead of scrolling through Netflix for 45 minutes and giving up, try this.

👩🏾‍💻 We’re coming up on the end of Q1.

If you’ve been building, testing and refining, but your messaging hasn’t quite caught up yet, this is a good moment to look at it.
I’m booking copywriting projects and Content Strategy Intensives for March and beyond.
If it’s time for a refresh, book an intro call, and we’ll talk it through.
