Hi Reader,

This week marks seven (!!!) years since I officially started my business.

Back then, I had no idea what I was doing. It was just me, my laptop, and a whole lot of Google searches.

Since then, I’ve worked with dream clients. Made big mistakes. Burned out more than once. And slowly but surely, built a business that feels more and more like mine.

So in the spirit of transparency (and maybe a little celebration), here are three things I’d do differently, and four things I’d never change:

If I had a do-over, I’d:

  • Trust my gut more. If something feels off, it is. Don’t gaslight yourself into thinking this time will be different.
  • Overthink less. The perfect caption or offer? It doesn’t exist. Momentum matters more than having it all figured out.
  • Start tracking my time earlier. I used to find this sooo tedious, even though I’d tell newbie freelancers to do it (oops 🙃). Now, I’m obsessed. It helps me price better and plan around how I actually work.

But I wouldn’t change:

  • Starting before I felt ready. That first leap taught me more than any course ever did.
  • Staying true to my values and protecting my energy. If it drains me, it’s not worth it.
  • Being generous. Client gifting, sharing resources, making intros—it’s all good karma. What goes around comes around.
  • Prioritizing relationships. I’ll take depth over breadth any day. My best work always comes from long-term partnerships built on trust and mutual respect.

I’m still figuring things out (who isn’t, right?), but I’m forever grateful I get to do what I do.

Now, maybe you’ve been here since day one. Or maybe this is the first email you’ve opened.

Either way, thank you.

For reading, replying, sharing my work, and speaking my name in rooms I’m not in.

It means more than you know.

Here’s to year eight and whatever comes next.

‘Til next time!

Big (virtual) hugs,

Timing-wise, I'm thinking late June to early July. Still sketching it out, but I’d love your input. What kind of coworking call theme would you show up for?
