Hi Reader,

As we approach the end of the year, it’s tempting to do a big sweep.

Cut the subscriptions. Scrap the ideas. Declare half the year a “learning experience” and move on.

But on a brainstorming call with a biz friend, a different thought bubbled up:

What if the problem isn’t the cost, but the fact that I’m not using the thing to its full potential?

Most of us sign up for tools, courses, memberships, and platforms, then only use 20% of what they can actually do. We pay full price for half the impact. No wonder it stops feeling “worth it.”

Then, while writing a recent client article, I noticed the same pattern from a different angle.

The founder I was writing about made a decision before launching his new retreat:

He’d give it five years before deciding whether it worked.

It made me realize that sometimes the solution isn’t to downgrade or abandon ship.

Sometimes the real question is:

  • How do I make this tool, idea, or offer work harder for me?
  • Have I actually given this enough time to do its job?
  • Have I explored everything it can do, or am I just scratching the surface?

Before you decide what stays and what goes in the new year, ask yourself: What would it look like to actually use what I’ve already invested in?

Give it time to show you what it can do.

’Til next year!

Big (virtual) hugs,
